JobTier privacy policy
Last updated 9 October 2026
JobTier is a Chrome extension made by Ryan Jarrett, trading as Cleansheet, 11 Merleburgh Drive, Sittingbourne, Kent ME10 2RW, England. It scores LinkedIn jobs against your profile. This policy explains what JobTier stores, what it sends and where it sends it.
In short: your profile, preferences and keys stay in your browser. To score a job, your profile and that job’s details go to the scoring provider you chose, and nowhere else. Nothing is ever sent to Cleansheet.
What it stores
JobTier stores the following in your browser, using Chrome’s local extension storage:
- The profile text you add. It comes from your CV, from your own LinkedIn profile, or from what you type. It can include your name, contact details, location and work history if they are in that text.
- Your job preferences and dealbreakers.
- Your provider choice and API keys.
- Your display settings and daily scoring limit, and a count of today’s scoring requests.
- Scores for jobs you have seen, with the job’s ID and the date it was posted, so jobs aren’t scored twice. Up to 2,000 are kept. Each is reused for 24 hours, or 7 days for jobs scored Ignore.
None of this is synced to other devices, and none of it is ever sent to Cleansheet.
How it reads your CV and profile
- CV files (PDF, DOCX or TXT) are read inside your browser. The file itself is not uploaded anywhere, and only the text you choose to save is kept.
- Your LinkedIn profile is read only when you click “Import to JobTier” on your own profile page. The imported text opens in JobTier’s settings for you to review before anything is saved.
What it sends, and where
To score a job, JobTier sends your profile text, your preferences and dealbreakers, and that job’s details (title, company, location, description and posting date) to the provider you chose:
- TypeSafe (api.typesafe.ai), which runs the Jev model, or
- OpenRouter (openrouter.ai), which passes the request to TypeSafe’s Jev model.
Your API key goes only to that provider, to authorise the request. The provider’s own privacy policy covers how it handles the data. Requests go straight from your browser to the provider and never pass through Cleansheet.
To read job details, JobTier loads job postings from linkedin.com, the same postings your browser shows when you open a job. It sends nothing else to LinkedIn.
What it doesn’t do
- No analytics, tracking or advertising.
- No selling or sharing of your data, and no use of it for any purpose except scoring jobs for you.
- No reading of pages outside linkedin.com, and no recording of your browsing history.
JobTier’s use of information follows the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Deleting your data
On JobTier’s settings page, “Delete profile” removes your profile and “Clear cached scores” removes saved scores. Removing the extension deletes everything it stored. To have a provider delete data it holds, contact TypeSafe or OpenRouter. For anything else about your data, email jobtier@cleansheetconsulting.co.uk.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date at the top.
